Port old XNA project to VS2012 Premium

Hi folks,

I am really lost ... I have an XNA game that I started years ago (XNA 2 or 3, can't remember) that I'd like to start work on again. It seems now MonoGame is the only/best option available, at least if I want to work with new libraries and in VS 2012.

The problem is, I've installed MonoGame but the project templates aren't showing up under "New Project" in VS. I also tried cloning the source and manually copying in a .zip of the template, also no luck. What am I missing?

Also it seems that the tutorials on the github documentation are all relating to Android, iPhone, Window Phone etc.; everything except Windows desktop or Metro projects. The only tutorials I've managed to find appear quite out of date (e.g. directory names of templates are completely different).

Can anyone suggest what might be going on and point me in any direction to get started on this?

You need to have Visual studio 2010 Installed and copy the Templates monogame installs there to the VS2012 Folder
